Marin Lately is Clearly Back

A triumphant return, sheepishly announced

Editor's Note

As of this morning, Marin Lately has resumed operations: The MarinLately.com website is back up, its newsletter is in your hands, and those of you who purchased Marin Lately hats can once again wear them legally.

The reasons for this will be mostly glossed over. But suffice to say I have ways of knowing that you miss Marin Lately and did not want it to be a regional subsection of San Francisco Currently, including emails from you that say that almost verbatim.

You will continue to receive Currently under your existing subscription, and heads up that there may be a re-signing-in process (that thing where they send a code to your email). Reply here if you have any access issues, but other than that, it's back to business. Whatever this business is!

Sufficiently chastened-ly,
Patrick

San Rafael Senior Absolutely Glued to the IJ’s "Zest" Section

"Did you see this article?" Jim Blakers, 72. "It's got the scoop on four great soups for fall. Apparently one’s vegan but you wouldn’t know it!" Every day, Blakers eagerly digs into the lively mix of restaurant reviews and recipes that make up the paper’s food vertical, which again is called "Zest" – and the seasonal soup breakdown wasn’t the only Hey Martha he found in the latest batch. "The new Italian place on Fourth Street got a full write-up, and Ann Walker says it 'does the classics well,'" Blakers said. "Read between the lines, baby – the knives are out."
