I’d love to volunteer as your Belvedere-Tiburon-Strawberry correspondent. I was raised in S.F./Sonoma (way before it was chichi) and my parents bought a house on the Belvedere Lagoon in 1989, a few months prior to the Loma l Prieta quake. My parents lived on Peninsula Rd until 2020, when they chose to live in a house built on a bedrock hillside…. In Tiburon.
My mom used to be a little snobbish about my starter home address in Little Reed Heights (depths in our case). I was forced to sell in 2021, due to divorce…. But I have lived in the craziest rentals imaginable…. I moved eight times in 3 years (all in southern Marin County.). Apart from the obviously substandard property management of bigger complexes, I encountered some wild stuff… will not name names but at least one of these people may recognize themselves in my writing.
I’d also really enjoy the oppornity to act as a liaison with the Ark and the Bel-TiB library… and hopefully promote the good things that many of our citizens and my neighbors (in Belvedere) are involved in delivering to those less fortunate.
We don’t all suck out here. But there’s a whole lotta parvenue to explore…. Have you heard of “the portal Marin”
Feel freel to Google.
IDK how to DM you here so please accept my apologies for the length of my comment.
Definitely would be fantastic to have a letters to editor section- IDK if ML or other staff read Pacific Sun… I do but never paid much attn to the letters to editor section until another reader wrote to the editor asking for an explanation as to why a certain reader’s letters seemed to be published in every weekly issue. Editors answer was simple- this reader writes the paper on a weekly basis.
