“Called orthorexia, it’s an obsession with nutritious, organic foods that’s often expressed as an inability to consume common ingredients or products – no seed-oils, nothing processed, and so on,” said nutritionist Mary Finswan. “In Marin that’s just called, you know, dinner.” She added that while the dwindling roster of caloric inputs deemed acceptable in the county technically meet the eating disorder’s criteria, there’s no need to worry. “Orthorexia is easily the healthiest of all the dangerous weight-loss fads.”
