Alleged Rescue Dog Has Credentials Questioned

The owner of a notably fluffy and mild-mannered Golden Retriever is facing serious questions about his pet’s origin story today at a Sausalito dog park. “Rescued from what – a movie career?” said Raya Gonzalez, who instigated the inquiry. “Being the most adorable wittle snuggly-wums I ever did see? Bullshit.” Even when the man was able to produce paperwork proving that his pup was indeed sourced from a local shelter, Gonzalez refused to recognize his status. “I don’t care what anyone says. That’s not a rescue dog,” she said, picking up a gassy, milky-eyed Chihuahua mix, which looked to be at least 25 years old. “THIS is a rescue dog.”
